Base Build Night

Base Build Night is where the people who build Indonesia's digital future come to meet each other — not behind screens, but face to face. Held quarterly at Base Labs HQ in Jakarta, each edition brings together 200+ founders, engineers, designers, and investors for a night of demos, panels, and the kind of conversations that become companies.

The format is deliberately simple: no keynotes, no sponsors pitching, no panel discussions that could have been a blog post. Instead: 5-minute live demos from early-stage builders. Unmoderated open-mic Q&A. A "build room" where people actually code things together. And, crucially, a rooftop where the real conversations happen after midnight.

The April 2024 edition saw three startups forged in the networking hour alone. One of them has already raised a pre-seed round. This is what happens when you remove the performance from events and leave only the substance.
